I bought this Noblex Pro 06/150 almost entirely on impulse during a trip to Poland. It was my first panoramic camera and unusual enough that I decided to break one of my own rules to buy it.

Introduced in 1993, the Noblex uses 120 film to produce enormous 50x120mm panoramic negatives. Rather than exposing the entire frame at once, its 50mm lens rotates across a curved film plane during the exposure, giving it an extremely wide panoramic field of view.

It is also the first camera I have deliberately bought that was made after I was born in 1989. Until now, I had generally limited my collection to cameras older than I am, but the Noblex seemed worthy of an exception.

After putting a test roll through it, I am very pleased with the results. It is completely unlike anything else I own and has certainly made panoramic photography something I want to explore further.
