Terms & Disclaimer
The terms for using this website: copyright, using my photos, model releases, mature content and how photos of you can be changed or removed.
Copyright
All photographs and text on this website are © Aaron Roberts / ALR Photography unless stated otherwise, and are protected by copyright law (in Romania, Law 8/1996 on copyright and related rights) and international treaties. All rights are reserved.
You’re welcome to share a link to any page. You may not copy, download, edit, re-post, print, sell or use the photos – including for training AI models – without my written permission. Removing or changing copyright information in the image files is not allowed. To ask about licensing or prints, email [email protected].
Models and model releases
Everyone photographed on this website agreed to the shoot and to the photos being published, usually through a written model release or TFCD agreement. Those agreements give the models the right to use their photos as agreed; they don’t give anyone else permission to use them. A model’s name appearing next to a photo doesn’t mean they endorse anything else on this website.
Mature content
The Nude and Boudoir portfolios contain artistic nudity and are intended for adults only. These photos are blurred until you confirm that you are 18 or over. They are artistic portraits made with adult models who consented to them, and are not sexual content.
Photos of models and clients – removal requests
Every photo session on this website was photographed and published under the agreement made with the people in it – a model release, a TFCD (time for content) agreement or a client booking – and with their consent at the time. Those agreements are what allow me to show the work. A session involves my time, travel, studio and equipment, materials (such as film and development) and editing, and in return both of us get to use the photos as agreed.
People’s circumstances can change in ways nobody could reasonably have predicted, and I don’t want anyone to feel stuck with photos that now cause them real difficulty. If you are the person in a session, or act for them, you can ask for changes using the photo removal request form or by email to [email protected].
Always free of charge:
- if you are worried about your safety (for example harassment, stalking or an abusive relationship) – these requests are handled first;
- if you never signed a release or agreement, or were under 18 when the photos were taken;
- if a photo is used beyond what we agreed;
- requests under data protection law (the GDPR) – for example withdrawing consent where consent is what the photos are published on, or objecting to their use. See the privacy statement;
- smaller changes: removing your name or tags, hiding particular photos, or taking a session off the homepage and my social media.
Release buy-out: where a session is covered by a signed release and you would like it removed completely purely because you have changed your mind, I ask for the release to be bought out: a reimbursement of the value of that session – its fee, or for a TFCD session its usual value – plus the materials used. This is not a penalty: it never exceeds that amount, and I will reduce or waive it where it would cause hardship. It never applies to the free cases above.
What removal covers: once agreed, the photos are taken off this website and my social media accounts within 14 days, and I ask search engines to refresh their copies. I can’t control copies other people have already saved or shared. The original files and the signed release stay in my private archive for the period in which legal claims could be made, unless you also ask for the files to be deleted under the GDPR.
If you believe something on this website uses your work without permission, email [email protected] with a link to the page.
