Lightning Never Strikes The Same Place Twice

Lightning Never Strikes The Same Place Twice

Well, Summer is finally here! It’s taken long enough.. I was actually beginning to worry that it would never come, but here it is. Almost as if it started on June 1! But I’ve recently been enjoying temperatures above 25*C quite constantly.. which is a real happy place for me to be right now, despite the fact the sun hates me.. or my sun hates the body.

So, what’s new?! Pretty simple really… not a lot. Mainly been working and enjoying the weather. I’ve had a friend staying with me for the past few weeks which has been nice company and this weekend I’m heading to Târgu-Mureș to catch up with some of my old buddies and finally meet some of the people that I’ve been aiming to meet that I haven’t yet had the chance to meet… wow, that’s a confusing sentence.

Anyway, with this beautiful weather has came some fantastic thunderstorms and BOY OH BOY did I capture a brilliant shot.. It’s not something I’ll consider as a part of my professional photography, but it’s certainly a great shot!

So that’s pretty much the best shot in terms of capturing the moment, there’s a whole bunch of other ones but I think I might be planning to snap a few together and make a panoramic shot.. we shall see.

Anyway…. What else happened?

So, also went to visit an amazing place not far from Cluj-Napoca called Lake Tarnița.. Being from the UK, I must say I haven’t had much of an opportunity to visit beautiful places such as these before but when I seen this place, I literally fell in love with the landscape!

It was decided to take advantage of the weather, we should visit somewhere nice and set up a BBQ and make a day of it.. and that’s pretty much exactly what we did. Although, we travelled WAY to far up-stream, we still managed to just about create a BBQ (although we forgot to bring a lighter / matches and had to rely on some nearby people to get us started).

Beautiful scenery, great people and eventually some fantastic home grown music… which involved me drumming on an empty Sprite bottle and some piece of plastic or wood that I found nearby.

So basically, a really fun filled day this was.. but honestly, what a magnificent landscape and scenery! In addition, this is apparently nothing compared to some of the other areas in Romania, ones that I’ll be sure to try and visit!

Anyway, I shall leave you with a few photos from that trip, enjoy them and enjoy yourselves until next time!

Thanks!
