The legendary Nikon F4. I've was a Nikon shooter for a very long time before picking up and working with Sony mirrorless cameras. However, there's something instinctive about Nikon gear, it's basically muscle memory and even with this beauty from 1988, it's clear that this was the foundation of modern Nikon cameras, whether it be film or digital.
It's tactile, strong and powerful. A real pleasure to shoot with and the only camera in my collection that has a vertical grip. This one also has the awesome Type P focusing screen, which has the microprism for additional focus assist with manual focus lenses.
