I picked up this Exakta HS-10 from the same local market where many of my favourite cameras have come from. It was sold as a complete kit with a tidy camera bag, a 35–70 mm lens, an 80–200 mm zoom, lens and body caps, and even the original instruction manual.
The 35–70 mm needed some attention because the aperture blades were stuck wide open, but after servicing it is now working properly again. The HS-10 is not a particularly advanced camera. It is a simple, manual SLR that does exactly what it was designed to do.
It is my first Exakta SLR, and the fact that it was such a complete package made it hard to resist. Interestingly, it came from the same people I previously bought my Rolleicord and Minox from, which adds a nice sense of continuity to the collection.
