Cookie Policy
The cookies used on aaronlroberts.com, what each one is for and how to change your choice.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Some are strictly necessary for the site to work and don’t need your consent. All others – here, only Google Analytics – are set only if you agree (EU ePrivacy rules, applied in Romania by Law 506/2004).
Your choice
When you first visit, you can accept or reject statistics cookies with equal ease. Until you choose, nothing optional runs, and Google receives nothing. You can change your mind at any time:
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, the site will ask about cookies again on every visit.
The cookies used
Strictly necessary
Needed for the website to work: remembering your cookie choices, your 18+ confirmation and protecting the contact forms. These don’t need consent and can’t be switched off.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
ar_consent | This website | Remembers your cookie choices, so you aren’t asked on every page. | 6 months |
ar_18 | This website | Only if you confirm you are 18 or over to view the Nude and Boudoir galleries: remembers that choice so the photos aren’t blurred again. The same value is also kept in your browser’s local storage. | 1 year |
ar_form | This website | Only when you open the contact or casting form: protects the form against forged submissions and keeps what you typed if something needs correcting. | Until you close your browser |
ar_admin, ar_2fa, ar_staff, ar_lang | This website | Only for the site owner when logged in to the website’s admin area (login session, trusted device, language). Never set for visitors. | Session to 1 year |
Statistics
Google Analytics helps me understand how many people visit, which photos and pages they look at and how they found the site. It uses cookies and is only switched on if you allow it.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd) | Distinguishes one visitor from another so visits can be counted. | 2 years |
_ga_Z50PFBH4CE | Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd) | Keeps track of the current visit (session). | 2 years |
Videos
Videos from YouTube or Vimeo in blog posts. They’re loaded from those sites, which may set their own cookies – only if you allow it here or press “Play video”.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
YSC, VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE, VISITOR_PRIVACY_METADATA, __Secure-YEC and similar | YouTube (Google Ireland Ltd), via youtube-nocookie.com | Only when a video is played: lets YouTube play it, count views and remember player settings. | Session to 6 months |
vuid, __cf_bm | Vimeo | Only when a Vimeo video is played (with “do not track” switched on): plays it and protects against abuse. | 30 minutes to 2 years |
Fonts and images are served from this website itself, so no other company sets cookies when you browse.
Google Analytics
If you allow statistics cookies, Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google Ireland Ltd) records which pages you view, roughly where you are (country or city), the type of device and browser you use and how you found the site. I use Google Consent Mode: until you agree, analytics storage is set to “denied” and the Google script isn’t loaded at all. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
