Casting: The Bessa Project

I would like to take some test shots on my newly acquired Voigtländer Bessa. This camera was produced in the 1930s and is in excellent condition. I’ve already taken some test shots, but totally forgot to set focus the lens… entirely my fault and a silly mistake. However, now that I know it’s working correctly, it’s time to put this beautiful camera to work.

For this, I wanted to invite someone to try some portraits on some black & white film in the studio. My goal is to create some period-accurate shots using static lighting and traditional light measurements to get some really classic results.

Below you can find some examples of the results I am seeking and a photo of the wonderful camera that we will be shooting with!

I can only accept one or two people for this kind of shoot as film and the development process is not cheap.  The roll takes 9 images and results can vary significantly… that’s the charm of film.

Compensation:

Once the film images are developed, you will be sent a digital copy of each image that meets my quality standards. Any images that clearly did not come out correctly or aren’t flattering will not be published. The images will have the watermark and you’re welcome to share them online, under my TFDD terms.
